Project Description
This project includes the fabrication and installation of white PVC-u casement windows. To stay consistent with the properties original cottage-like appearance , the PVC-u windows were fitted into the stone mullions. An astragal (also referred to as external or surface mounted) Georgian bar has been chosen from the versatility range. A duplex grill was fitted inside of the double glazed unit to give the impression of a traditional timber window when multiple panes of glass would have been required. Astragal Georgian Bar is often the preferred option aesthetically, however another option – integral Georgian bar – has a reduced cost and is easier to clean. The visual difference is relatively indistinguishable from a distance, however Astragal Georgian bar is considered more authentic close up.
